As I was reading my devotion "Take Action" stuck with me, and it intertwines with what my Apostles been preaching on since 2022 started "Now is the time". Can I set myself free? I really was struggling with living in carnality, which means, I been entertaining the things of the world and still call myself feeding my spirit as well. As we all know that was a failure, eventually I began to drift slowly. My Apostle said it so well one Sunday and he said, "It's crazy how we can be in the presence of God, and immediately when we're done, we go back to doing the things of the world". If that did not convict me on a different level, my God. Prior to that moment I cried out with a heart of repentance, so it was like each Word I been receiving has been checking me and jacking me up until I decided to take action. God even placed it heavy on me about playing around with His Grace. Within a month timeframe, people I associated with had passed away SUDDENLY, and each time all I could think about, Lord now is the time to get my act together. When I made my decision, I decided to talk to my pastor about my situation over lunch, and she gave me the advice that was so simple. She said, "It is just as easy as putting the lid on this coleslaw bowl". This whole time I was just overthinking it, but God already provided me with the tools all I had to do is take action and do the work. Scripture Joel 2:12 says, "Yet even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning". This month that's exactly what I been doing, and when I say it gets easier over time. The temptation still rises but it doesn't get my entertainment anymore. My Apostle preached on Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect", and the first requirement is taking action in our minds. What is something that you haven't taken action on yet? Let's Chat about it!
